The CITB Directors’ Role for Health and Safety is a comprehensive course specifically designed to equip directors and senior managers with essential health and safety skills. This accredited training emphasizes the importance of understanding the consequences of non-compliance with health and safety laws, whether financial, operational, or human. Directors and senior managers have a legal responsibility to manage a safe and healthy work environment. By failing to comply with the laws they could face multiple serious issues including prosecution, fines, jail sentences and increased costs in the form of paying for additional staff, sick pay, compensation, further training and damages. This director’s health and safety course enforces the importance of working with the laws and complying with legislation.

Assessment will be carried out through an exam paper and a trainer’s review. The examination provides external bodies with assurance that the certificate is awarded only to delegates who successfully complete both the assessment and the exam.
Upon completing the CITB Directors Role for Health and Safety course, directors and senior managers will receive a fully recognised qualification from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
Complete the pre‑course e‑learning, earn a digital certificate, and send it to the training provider at least 24 hours before the course.
