NEBOSH Health & Safety Management in Construction – Classroom

The NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction Certificate is a leading UK qualification designed to meet HSE standards and improve safety across construction sites. It teaches learners how to identify hazards, assess risks, and manage essential health and safety duties in a construction environment.

This qualification helps employers strengthen site safety culture, reduce accidents, and meet legal requirements under the CDM Regulations. Now classed as a Level 7 SCQF qualification, it is fully recognised by CSCS for card applications.

Learners transitioning from the previous Level 6 version who have a refer in the NC1 exam may take the final NC1 assessment on 17 January 2023. After this date, all candidates must move to the updated CNCI syllabus.

  • The NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) will involve a minimum of 68 taught hours, and approximately 40 hours of private study and background reading to prepare for the 48-hour open book examination.

    When studied via Classroom or Virtual Classroom, the duration of the course is 9 days, in addition to online revision and an online exam.

    Our classroom course timings are 09:00-17:00 Monday – Friday.

  • The NEBOSH Health & Safety Management Construction Certificate programme consists of 13 elements:

  • The NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction Certificate course consists of one assessment:

    Unit CN1- An open book written exam, which candidates will have 48 hours to complete. It requires them to answer a set of questions relating to a real-life scenario.

    If you are booking the classroom course, your exam cost will be included within the price. If you are booking on to the e-learning course your exams will be an extra fee and will need to be booked separately.
